One day, my friend in Japan was complaining that she got a phone call from the delivery company letting her know that her package won't arrive within the time range she set (normally 4-5 hour window). I felt reverse culture shock by this. I've never received a phone call about delayed deliveries here. I don't think you can even set the delivery time in the first place?
Delivery people just leave packages outside, and don't even ring a doorbell here. I feel lucky when the package is outside the front door. Sometimes it's by our trash bin in the side yard; sometimes it's right by the garage. ( I ran over the package with car once.) It's like a treasure hunt! (But not really fun.)
You don't have to ring the doorbell... Just... bring the packages to the front door. (●´人｀●)<Please?
